MDXCrowdfund connects people to some of Middlesex University's incredible student and staff initiatives. Featured projects showcase just some of the exceptional academic thought, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurialism that takes place within our university on a daily basis.
How It Works:
Alumni, family, friends and colleagues make small donations to projects of interest. These add up and help our students and staff fulfil their ambitions. In return for donations, Project Sponsors receive a small gift from the Project Creator.
Why use MDXCrowdfund to raise funds for your project?
MDXCrowdfund is publicised to Middlesex University's own extensive network of supporters globally so the potential to raise funds from outside of your own circle of family and friends is greater.
Another advantage is that we offer hands-on support throughout your project including help during the planning phase, feedback before your project goes live and ongoing promotional advice.
Lastly, sponsors are likely to have a greater degree of trust in projects featured on a platform managed by a well-respected organisation like Middlesex University.
Why donate to featured projects?
By making small donations to featured projects you can help our students and staff turn their bright ideas into reality. This could include contributing towards a business idea, a creative or community project, a university club, an event, or a piece of research (92% of our research has real world impact).
Making a donation online is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. Just go to 'Explore', select the project you would like to support and click on 'Donate'. You can also ask us to add a cash pledge by emailing us. Even if you can’t contribute financially, you can still lend your support by promoting featured projects to your own network of contacts.
Who can submit projects?
MDXCrowdfund is open to all Middlesex University students and members of staff.
What kinds of projects are suitable?
The sky is the limit! Each project is judged on its own goals and merits, and the level of organisation and commitment demonstrated by the individual or group of individuals involved.
Projects can focus on anything from a business idea, to a creative or community project, an event, a university club or sports team, a research project, a personal challenge and much more. If you have a business idea, why not also get in touch with Middlesex University's Enterprise Development Hub (‘EDH@MDX’).
