Help support our team!!

Hello, we are MDX MATRIX Cheerleading, Middlesex University’s very own cheerleading squad consisting of both undergraduate students and alumni.

We all train together and compete as a co-ed team against other universities in the UK but cheerleading competitions are expensive, which is where you come in!

We are looking for some generous donors to lend a hand so we can ensure we have the necessary funds to compete and hopefully do Middlesex University (and ourselves) proud by bagging a trophy or two, if we can!

Who we are

Our team consists of me Shermeka (the Captain), our Coaches Aaliyah and Katie and also our Cheer Committee who plan socials, events and fundraising ideas for the team. Our competitive team has 30 members who train each week and join in with activities we do alongside cheer.

Our story and vision

This year we are coming together to create an active team that not only takes part in competitive events but helps to promote cheerleading as a sport and encourages others to take part.

We are all really dedicated to our sport. Every week we come together to train in gymnastics, jumps and stunts, as well as to learn our competitive cheerleading routine ahead of competition season.

Our plan of action

Our aim is to raise money from various fundraising activities throughout the year to help us pay for uniforms, bows, competition fees, music and travel.

At the moment we are looking to reach a goal of £500 through crowdfunding. This will lower costs for each member in the team as uniforms, bows and shoes can cost up to £150 for each athlete.

And if we raise more than £500?

That would be fantastic as it will enable us to cover a greater percentage of the costs associated with outfits for the team, travel and competition entry. This will help us ensure all members of the team can afford to take part!

where you can find us

You can follow us on our active Instagram page where we post videos and pictures weekly, giving updates on our practice sessions and the accomplishments of our team members.

spread the word!

If you can’t donate personally, you can still help us by spreading the word about our project to your own network of contacts.

Of course if you are also able to make a small personal donation and sponsor our project we would be very grateful❤
