What Happens When Sibling Rivalry Gets Out Of Hand?

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my crowdfunding page. The purpose of my campaign is to raise funds for Riff, a short film and the final major project for my MA in film here at Middlesex University. I am very grateful that you have discovered my page.

WHAT'S RIFF ABOUT?

Riff is a comedy that follows Jim and Tim, who attempt to go head-to-head with their respective bands at a concert for a chance to win a record deal.

MY STORY

I first began script work for Riff two years ago as part my MA Film course modules. After writing the first draft of the script, I completely fell in love with the concept and decided I wanted the film to be my dissertation project. I have always enjoyed comedy, from Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, all the way through to Only Fools & Horses.

MY GOAL FOR RIFF

My goal for Riff is to create a comedy that relies heavily on the impact of visual comedy. This is what made all of the early filmmakers so talented and what influences me still to this day as a filmmaker.

BUDGET

Making a film costs money! This said, the budget for Riff is relatively modest at £500.

HOW WILL ANY DONATIONS TO MY CAMPAIGN BE USED?

Your donations will play an important role in helping me to cover the cost of actors' expenses, venue hire, as well as food and drink for the cast and crew.

Anything you can give will help to ensure that this film gets made to the best of my ability. Here is a breakdown of how the money will be spent:

  • Food and drink - £100
  • Contingency - £100
