You can fund your interests, ambitions and any project close to your heart.
From business ideas, creative projects and events, to community initiatives, clubs and societies, research projects, personal aspirations and much more. Thanks to Santander, we have £5,000 to invest in UK student projects before the end of July 2021. To find out how your campaign could be selected for a £500 boost, get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Campaigns are typically reviewed within 3-5 working days (Mon-Fri). Please note, if you submit a campaign on a Thursday or Friday, your campaign might not be reviewed until the start of the following working week so if you want to go live over the weekend or by a specific date, please factor in enough time for review of your crowdfunding campaign.
Crowdfunding is sponsorship by a crowd of many donors, each making an individual, small donation in return for a small reward, like a t-shirt, a project poster, an event ticket or a synopsis of your research findings. It works really well for universities because there are large groups of people who want to see your projects succeed, such as alumni, your friends, your family or colleagues.
Your sponsors will be individuals such as alumni, friends, and family. Occasionally, they may also be complete strangers! How many people your project reaches is up to you!
Yes! There is no ceiling to how much you can raise and it is common for projects to raise more than their minimum and sometimes more than their funding target.
We ask you for two amounts - the minimum you need, and your ultimate target. Funds only change hands if a project has reached its minimum once it hit its end date. This means you only need to carry out your project and deliver rewards if you achieve this minimum target. We recommend setting the minimum at the smallest amount you need to complete your project and successfully deliver rewards. You can still set a bigger project target as well! Most projects receive considerably more than their minimum.
When you publish your idea or event, we call it a project. For your idea to become a project, you must have a clear goal and be able to explain how you will spend the funds you raise.
We cover the costs of the platform and payment processing fees, so that you always get 100% of the value of your pledges.
Please allow 21 days from the end of your project for payment to be made.
